Working in an international environment defining standards in IT services with high uptime required.
The project Workplace Services is element of the Readiness program in disentanglement of ING Bank and ING Insurance/Investment Management. There is a strong relationship with other (strategic) programs as building blocks for the 2 IPO scenario preparation of ING Insurance/IM USA and ING Insurance/IM EurAsia. (also called NewCo) The building blocks cover projects like Data center, Network, Active Directory, Infrastructure Services Management. Is responsible for coordination with the diverse project teams and disciplines within ING Insurance/IM Eurasia and external advisors/project team members concerning large and very complex change strategies.

Required education
University
Has a level equivalent to IPMA certification at level B.

Required work experience
Desktop replacements : (new architecture definition for hardware, software, IT services, desktop definitions, software testing). At least experience with defining Windows XP, Windows 7 installations very much preferred.

Managerial experience
indirect managing a team of at least 20 people, able to work with senior mgt/directors: inform on time with right detail; Sparring partner for IT Director. A good feeling for political relationships (informal organisation/undercurrents) in the organisation.
Ensures that the procedures in the area of Risk Management, Procurement, Finance, Tax, and Legal are managed.

Required additional qualifications
proven track record for managing on Time, on Budget, on Scope of projects (Fluent English)
Programme duration is approximately 12-16 months and is planned to finish around August 2012.
The scope of the project consists of multiple divisions and/or labels in the countries of ING Investment Management Europe.

Main responsibilities
Set-up and run the WPS project as project manager:
* new desktop infra for EU sites, about 1300 seats, based on Windows7.
* defined solution incl. architectural choices like thin, fat client
* new telephony, file and print services
* operational services with possible external partner
Working with a wide variety of european countries for installation. Handling ING Group requirements and alignment with an ING Insurance business unit to jointly develop the standard desktop. Transparent reporting and updating of the senior management / sponsor. If desired, takes part in the MT in order to inform the participants concerning the progress/results of the project Workplace Services on objectives, and expectations. Prescribes the (control/reporting) management of the project and budget.
Based on analysis, defines the organisation and required results of the programme, and analyses the consequences of this for the organisation and the business case.
Continuously checks whether the intended Readiness programme objectives and results remain relevant to the (strategic) objectives of the business that change over time, in the Hague either in the countries of ING IM Europe. To this end, sets up a steering group in which the check takes place and safeguards alignment with ING Insurance CRE and ING IM Europe.
